2021 – more than an anniversary
Anniversaries like to tempt us to look back: 25 years! A quarter of a century! So much accomplished, so much achieved.
But you do yourself a disservice if you settle for hindsight. As a bank, we have just reached adulthood. This is a good performance. But the best is yet to come.
Anticipation is a much nicer feeling than nostalgia. It inspires, electrifies and sets in motion. That’s why 2021 was a year of setting the course for the future for us.

Either one changes.
Or you are changed.
It’s as simple as that.
Heike Kemmner on the need for change
The only thing that is really certain is change. For a bank for doers in a group of doers, taking change into one’s own hands is therefore the only option.
But looking back also obliges us to look forward. We are not the same as we were. We will not remain the same as we are. What can you really be sure of? Who would have predicted such global changes before Corona, before Ukraine?
The only thing you can count on: Everything around us changes incessantly: Governments come and go, the climate changes, new social trends become the norm, old habits disappear, new ones emerge. And whether in private life or in business – digitization accelerates and potentiates every change. In such an environment, a bank cannot and must not stand still.
The only way to deal with change is to actively pursue it. Either one changes. Or you are changed. It’s as simple as that.
As IBB, we must therefore, especially in our anniversary year, reflect on what has characterized us from the beginning: the ability to develop further. Mobility is our constant.
“We’ve reinvented ourselves over and over again.” This is the motto of our extended management.
That’s why we tackled many things and changed in 2021. From the logo to the website. From business cards to new products. The course is set for the future.
We are pleased with what we have achieved. But even more to what is to come. And we remain mobile.
